MLM Leads

MLM leads are the life blood of every network marketing opportunity. In order to grow your MLM business, you need fresh responsive leads.

No doubt you have been told to sponsor your family and friends and everyone that comes within three feet from you.

Everyone is a prospect we are told. This is one of the seven lies Ann Sieg points out in her free eBook The 7 Lies Of Network Marketing".

It's not long before you learn that most people in your warm market do not want anything to do with your opportunity or products.

mlm leads The problem is not your product or opportunity, it's your prospect. He or she is not interested, just like he or she says.

I like interested people to contact me. I do not like the rejection, waste of time, and waste of money that comes from trying to sponsor uninterested parties.

So what is a network marketer to do?

You have two options. You can buy your leads from either a legitimate and scrupulous lead vendor or perhaps from your upline if they have a lead generation system.

Your second option is to generate your own leads.

Buy Leads From Vendors

Buying leads has its draw backs. Some unscrupulous vendors have been known to sell you leads that are sold and re-sold to every Tom, Dick, and Harry that wants some.

These leads are not necessarily fresh. Leads that are more than 15 days old are cold and less responsive, in my opinion.

To make matters worse, some vendors offer incentives like "free bonus" for signing up. These leads are less effective than leads looking for your opportunity or products.

I'm not saying you should never buy leads. If you find a legitimate lead vendor, and you test market them and find they work, great!

The best leads that you can buy will come from your upline who knows how to generate leads. These people will have responded to your specific MLM opportunity or products.

Generate Your Own Leads

The best MLM leads are those you generate yourself. Read my article on how to generate your own fresh exclusive MLM leads.

This requires a little more work and a little seed money. But it is worth it! Every legitimate home business owner knows you don't get something for nothing, right?

I have signed up about 5 distributors per week from using these methods. That was before the Internet was invented or at least in common use by the masses.

I then shared these leads with my downline leaders who shared in the cost of generating them. This provided a quick way for new people to start sponsoring and selling their products, duplicating my efforts.
